It’s never too late to pursue what brings joy and fulfillment.

Motivated by the chance to perform, I joined the RWB program six years ago and decided to create this film to challenge the notion that dance is solely for the young. The goal is to inspire adults in dance. Whether they’ve aged out of childhood programs, are current adolescent dancers, or have long dreamed of exploring their passion for dance. It’s never too late to pursue what brings joy and fulfillment. By showcasing relatable stories and experiences present in this film, I aim to break down barriers and encourage others to join us on the dance floor.

Praise for Variations

  • “I expected a feel-good documentary about people dancing, but Variations hit me harder than I thought. Seeing adults rediscover their passion for dance made me wonder—why do we let go of the things we love as we grow older?”

  • “There was a moment in this film where I felt like I was watching people reclaim a part of themselves they thought was lost. The way they move, the way they laugh. It’s like they’re remembering who they used to be. It broke me in the best way.”

  • “The beauty of this film is that it doesn’t romanticize dance, it shows the pain, the struggle, the aching bodies. But it also captures the raw joy of movement. Dance isn’t just an art form here; it’s a lifeline.”
